We love the blank pages at the beginning and the end of books, called ‘flyleaf’. Garamond, which we often use for casual readings, stemming from the antic roman or Garaldes, that was designed in 1530 by the type designer Claude Garamond. Franklin Gothic, for titles and loose words, stemming from the sans serif grotesque, that was designed in 1904

by Morris Fuller Benton. And the smell of the ink stains on the first papers, before the definitive printing of an edition.
